Comics Podcast Crossover #9

I was pleased to be included in the "Superhero Relationships" episode of Comics Podcast Crossover #9. A number of great comics podcasts are represented in this episode, and each focuses on the "intimate" relationships of various superheroes. My ten minute segment begins about half-way through the episode (listen for the familiar GAC Podcast intro music) and focused on the Golden Age Wonder Woman and Steve Trevor. I discuss how the Golden Age Wonder Woman would never have become one of DC's "big three" if not for her falling in love with Captain Trevor after he crashed on Paradise Island. Indeed, this is probably one of the earliest "superhero relationships" and the only superhero I am aware of whose origins are the result of the relationship. The other segments are as diverse as comics are today, but provide some interesting (and sometimes explicit) discussions about the intimate (and sometimes not so intimate) sides of superheroes. The run time on CPC #9 is approximately two hours and seventeen minutes, so it may take a couple of sittings to hear the entire show. I hope you enjoy it!

Comics Podcast Crossover Episode #9

By the way, if you are interested in an in-depth discussion about the Golden Age Wonder Woman, I devoted an entire episode of the Golden Age of Comic Books to her exploits in Episode #22 (October, 2005)
