In this episode of the Golden Age of Comic Books Podcast, we discuss the Golden Age Black Hood from MLJ Comics. Although MLJ is most famous for Archie Andrews, it had several very popular superheroes in the Golden Age. The Black Hood was one of MLJ's most popular superheroes, and made his first appearance in Top Notch Comics #9 (June, 1940). He went on the star in Jack Pot Comics, Pep Comics and his own title, Black Hood Comics. His last Golden Age appearance was in Pep Comics #59 (December, 1946).
